From the mind of cartoonist Keith Knight comes a live-action animated series that’s so alive with personality it can only be described as Woke.
Keef Knight is an up and coming cartoonist, creator of the popular Toast and Butter comic. He’s on the verge of mainstream success and the fame and fortune that comes with it. Unlike his contemporaries, he usually shies away from tackling the big issues. After he’s wrongfully detained by an overly-aggressive policeman, Keef gains some supernatural powers. Inanimate objects have come alive and started to talk to him. It forces him to confront the issues of the day while maintaining his career and relationships.
Here’s everything you need to know to stream Woke.

Woke Reviews
What the critics are saying:
- “Woke has its goofy side, to be sure, but it’s thoughtful as well, handling thorny subject matter with a light, comical touch. It doesn’t minimize the very real issues Keef faces, but it vividly illustrates them with highly specific observations.” –Dave Nevetz, TVLine
- “Keef’s inner struggles as a Black artist versus an artist who happens to be Black is an unapologetically funny and honest through-line that also gives the show the authenticity it needs. Although San Francisco as a setting doesn’t factor in as the uncredited character that it should, Stanley Clarke’s thoughtful score deliciously folds in a number of Black musical influences and vibes.” –Mekeisha Madden Toby, TV Guide
