Fox News host Laura Ingraham had conservative author Dinesh D’Souza on during a segment on her show The Ingraham Angle, criticizing New York University’s journalism school for hiring journalist Talia Lavin, according to Mediaite.

NYU hired Lavin, 29, as an adjunct faculty member to teach an undergraduate course on covering the far right, according to the Hill. Lavin faced criticism in June of last year for mistakenly identifying a tattoo on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent as a Nazi iron cross. Lavin apologized for the mistake and resigned from her position as a fact-checker at the New Yorker.

On Thursday evening, Ingraham referred to media watchdog group Media Matters as the “liberal goon squad,” and others critical of conservative news organizations like Fox as “little journo-terrorists.”

Lavin responded on Twitter, saying,

“this is the fourth time i have been mentioned on fox news this year and i am not an interesting or significant person with any power! leave me alone!”

“Here’s Laura Ingraham displaying my face to 2.5 million viewers and calling me a ‘little journo-terrorist.’ I am 29. I have no full-time job. I am teaching a single course, for $7k, as an adjunct. This is insane. And irresponsible. It is incitement. It is not okay.”

“No one is saying you shouldn’t have a job. Go work at Costco or a tattoo parlor or wherever. But should you be TEACHING in the very area where you proved yourself a fraud?” D’Souza responded.

In 2014, D’Souza was convicted of violating campaign finance law for reimbursing two people,  each of whom made $10,000 donations to a friend’s Senate campaign, to circumvent limits on campaign donations. He was sentenced to eight months in a “community confinement center,” according to contemporaneous reporting by the New York Times and five years’ probation. President Donald Trump pardoned D’Souza last year.
