Former President Donald Trump is one of the most polarizing individuals on the internet. A former real estate mogul turned reality TV celebrity, he posted his way to the Oval Office in a shocking 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.

His use and tone of his social media during his presidency shocked the nation and altered the terms of political discourse as well as the direction of the nation, as he pushed numerous policies that radicalized both his detractors and his fan base.

Trump’s presidency culminated in the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot, where his supporters stormed Congress in a failed effort to overturn the 2020 election.

He is facing numerous federal and state charges for his efforts, but that hasn’t deterred him in any way. Building out his own social media network, he continues to demand the nation’s attention as he runs for office again in 2024.
