Barack Obama will become a former president Friday, but that doesn’t mean he’s stepping away from the public’s eye.

Only a few hours before Donald Trump was to be sworn in as president, Barack and Michelle Obama announced on YouTube that they would be creating the Obama Foundation as a “living, working startup for citizenship.”

After the pair takes a break to get some sleep and hang out with the family, they will establish Obama’s presidential center, what they call “an ongoing project for us to shape, together, what it means to be a good citizen in the 21st century.”

It will be based on the south side of Chicago, but Obama said, “it will have projects all over the city, the country, and the world.”
