We live in the age of Day 1 video game bugs, from always-online DRM errors to client-side issues that can literally delete your entire game. Not all bugs are infuriating though. Case in point, IO Interactive’s Hitman 2 is going viral this week after one player stumbled across a bug that turns Agent 47’s briefcase into a homing weapon.

In Hitman 2, players can hide their sniper rifle and other items in a suitcase, letting them bring gadgets into guarded areas without alerting security. Players can even use the briefcase to knock out enemies, too. However, the game’s lock-on feature appears to have some problems. As redditor venomousbeetle first spotted on Monday, sometimes the briefcase will track an enemy’s movements after it’s thrown, causing the item to spin slowly in mid-air until it hits its target.

Venomousbeetle wasn’t the only player affected by the bug. Another Reddit user, Altair7z, threw the briefcase at a fleeing NPC during combat. Agent 47’s briefcase ended up tracking the character across the room, following his every move and spinning along the way. It’s hilarious to watch.

Then Twitter user CreamyElephant was able to replicate the bug in his copy of Hitman 2. He proceeded to post two separate clips showing just how far the briefcase will follow other characters. As it turns out, it’s quite a distance.

All four videos have since taken the gaming community by storm as fans laugh about one of the most bizarre bugs in the Hitman series yet.

Some compared the bug to Mario Kart’s infamous Blue Shell, which hones in on enemies with a vengeance.

Gamers even asked IO Interactive to keep the bug in the game because it’s so unexpected.

Hitman 2 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It remains unclear if IO Interactive will keep the briefcase bug in, but it’s still a good reason to pick up the game, only if for a quick laugh.
