Watch this smug robot defeat a CAPTCHA

BTW

All security measures will eventually become obsolete, but rarely do you get to see technology overcome by technology. Our society uses CAPTCHAs to ensure only people can access secure websites, instead of robots. Or at least it used to.

It appears we have been undone, and our usurper has googly eyes.

Watch and marvel in horror as this simple robot defeats a website’s CAPTCHA system with merely a stylus and a smug look. Sure, it can’t smile. But you can tell from the way it drops the stylus at the end that it knows humanity’s days are numbered.

It was nice knowing you society. Get ready for Skynet.
