The Distracted Boyfriend’s girlfriend is probably looking at this meme in shock

Is it a dick pic? It's definitely a dick pic, right?

It’s kind of hard to believe that it hasn’t even been a year since the internet gifted us the Distracted Boyfriend meme. The online phenomenon began popping up everywhere in August of 2017, but it hasn’t shown any sign of running out of steam.

Shortly after the meme went viral, internet sleuths attempted to piece together how the couple ended up in such a sad state of affairs by digging up other stock photos featuring the pair. An alternate reality timeline even surfaced in which the roles of the couple were switched.

But because there seems to be no shortage of stock photos in the world featuring the woman in the original meme, writer Ernie Smith has peeled back yet another layer into this fascinating narrative.

Specifically, that she is easily shocked while looking at her phone, computer, and tablet screens.

And she’s just getting started!

What could she possibly be looking at? Photos of that no good, dirty dog of a boyfriend of hers cheating on her with the woman in the red shirt, no doubt.

But like, eventually she’d have to come to terms with the fact that the relationship is over, right?

Okay, well maybe not so much.

Inevitably, as the tweets went viral, others jumped in to edit the original meme, because the internet is nothing if not a snake forever eating its own tail.

For what it’s worth, the model named Lauren—as photographed by Spanish photographer Antonio Guillem—is very much aware of her memedom. However, we can’t help but think she’d be pleasantly surprised at this latest incarnation.
