Just when you thought you’ve seen all the best Halloween decorations, these skull fire logs had to come along and prove you wrong.

Easily one of the creepiest things we’ve seen all year, these indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations will leave guests feeling frightened and delighted all at once. Even if you don’t have a functional fireplace or pit, the skull fire logs would make for some pretty scary Halloween decorations. Set them on the mantle, the tops of cabinets, or use them as doorstops–you get the idea.

They’re no children’s toy, though, so make sure you keep them out of reach! Designed with high heat refractory ceramic and reinforced with steel, the logs weigh in at around 10 pounds, so they don’t need to be set aflame in order to injure someone. However, since they are so heavy-duty, you won’t have to worry about them exploding or falling apart when you light them up. The skull fire logs can be used with wood or gas. But if you plan to light them indoors, make sure your fireplace is vented. Otherwise, you shouldn’t ignite them.

Unlike real human skulls, these firelogs will burn for hours upon hours–seriously, they need to reach temperatures near 3,000º before they start to crumble. And if something goes wrong before that, don’t get spooked! Myard’s fireproof skull logs come with a lifetime warranty.

These ceramic skulls originally went viral thanks to Spirit Halloween, the geniuses who stocked them. But as you could expect, unique Halloween decorations are in high demand so they sold out quickly–even at the steep starting price of $49.95. But fear not, we scoured the internet for other sellers and guess what? Yup, Amazon’s got ’em! The online retailer actually stocks more styles than Spirit Halloween ever considered. So if burning humans don’t scare ya, maybe a firey-demon head will.
