If you hate the smell of sunscreen, you’re in luck.

Summer is almost here, which means your need for extra sunscreen is too. And if you think you’re “too cool” to wear it, news flash: you’re not. Well, not anymore, anyway. Not since Hint developed its very own line of sunblock – and we already know what you’re thinking: “Wait, isn’t that a flavored water company?” Yeah, it is.

Hint’s R&D department took everything they knew about flavored water and used it to develop a scented sunscreen. Simply put, they’re just giving the people what they want: protection from the sun without any of the inconveniences associated with traditional sunblocks. So there’s no more streaks, no more stains, but most importantly, no. more. smell.

Unfortunately, someone has yet to find a way for scents to carry online, so in the meantime, you’ll have to trust me because I tried it for myself.

The broad-spectrum sunscreen is available in three super summery scents: grapefruit, pineapple, and pear. Just as the label suggests, each spray provides you with a hint of fresh fragrance. Instead of drowning you in an overbearing, chemical-like odor. Even after coating myself with it, I just smelled…pleasant. And what about that greasy feeling that most other spray sunscreens leave behind? Yeah, it was nowhere to be found.

There’s something hilarious about a water company making a product that’s water-resistant, but that’s the truth here. The label claims the formula lasts for up to 80 minutes (the average suggested time between applications). The water temps are still too chilly in New York, so I wasn’t able to fully submerge myself. However, I did wear this during my high-intensity workout and I was totally satisfied with the results. The formula didn’t transfer onto my clothes and honestly, I forgot I was even wearing sunscreen…which says a lot for someone who sweats profusely on runs.

Still, as a person with sensitive skin, I was first hesitant to try this sunscreen, since skin irritations are often caused by product fragrances. But, the formula is oxybenzone- and paraben-free, so I gotta give it to ‘em. I never got itchy, and never saw a red blotch or dry patch. In fact, my skin actually feels soft, even when I have this stuff on. Who would have thought adding aloe to sunscreen would make such a difference? (Hint, apparently.)

All in all, I’d recommend this product to anyone who uses sunscreen. It’s available to buy on Amazon starting at $17.99 a bottle.
