TikTok star Zoe Laverne checked herself into a hospital following widespread backlash about her inappropriate relationship with a minor, according to PopBuzz.

Using her fandom account, @zlpfandom0.2, Laverne reportedly announced the news. “I’m checking myself into the hospital. I don’t know when I’ll be out etc. I’m trying to find help before it’s too late. I love you. Goodbye for now,” the post read.

Laverne, 19, who has over 17 million followers on Tik Tok, admitted to “catching feelings” for a 13-year-old fan, Connor, after becoming close friends. Laverne came under fire after footage emerged of the two kissing.

Laverne was slammed for her inappropriate relationship with the minor, with many calling for her to be arrested and jailed for her actions.

While Laverne didn’t directly address the allegations on TikTok, the backlash seemingly prompted Laverne to disable the comment sections on all of her social media accounts. She also briefly deactivated her Instagram account. When she returned, she addressed the allegations on Instagram Live.

“Yes, the age is a bad thing. Yes, it’s wrong. Yes, it’s not good. And we both realized that, and we stopped,” Laverne said.

She also requested that people stop sending her hate because she apologized for the situation, stating the ordeal “isn’t anyone’s business but mine, my family’s, Connor’s and his family’s.”

Laverne has not further addressed the controversy, and her comment sections remain turned off.
