If you’re a geek who loves to cook and combine food with your fandom, you’re probably familiar with geeky chef Chris-Rachael Oseland, also known as the Kitchen Overlord. Oseland has released a number of books to help fans bring their fandom to their kitchen tables, including Dining With the Doctor: The Unauthorized Whovian Cookbook. Her latest book should appeal to people who enjoyed her Illustrated Geek Cookbook and wanted to try their hand at coloring fun moments from geek history.
Kitchen Overlord’s Colorable Compendium of Geek History: An Adult Coloring Book and Companion to the Illustrated Geek Cookbook gives fans the chance to get artistic with geeky illustrations. The coloring book includes many different fandoms and takes readers on a historical journey of geekdom, with informative and often humorous captions accompanying each illustration.
The 110-page book is the result of fans asking Oseland for coloring pages of their favorite recipes from the Illustrated Geek Cookbook. This book features a chronology, rearranged art, and six new pages by illustrator Tom Gordon.
With Star Wars: The Force Awakens enjoying its own moment in history this month, why not relive other important times in geek history, too? You can get a taste of what the Colorable Compendium of Geek History is like with the four sample pages below. Try your hand coloring the title page along with pages from Star Wars, Cthulhu, and The Hobbit.
