Britt McHenry was once a rising star at ESPN. But when the company went through massive layoffs earlier this year, she was one of the casualties. Since then, she has decided to rebrand herself as a conservative flamethrower, in the vein of Tomi Lahren.
How’s that going for Britt? Well, today she weighed in on the White House and Trump blasting ESPN for anchor Jemele Hill calling Trump a “white supremacist.”
Here’s how McHenry McSaw it.
Well. Former President Barack Obama, in that picture, was filling out an NCAA bracket. Trump and his staff were advocating for the firing of a journalist for saying something. Maybe slightly different? Let’s see how the internet took it.
Yes. Yes, that's what we're saying. Well-observed. Excellent analogy. Smart. You're very smart. https://t.co/AxUfStt3eb— Ken Tremendous (@KenTremendous) September 15, 2017
i remember this day…when obama went thru the bracket and chose which teams would be executed for crimes they did not commit…horrifying https://t.co/zg8ZvCc2Jy— pete gohan creator of raid shadow legends (@sexualjumanji) September 15, 2017
What the hell kind of logic is this https://t.co/xcDXhhU1U7— Sung Min Kim (@sung_minkim) September 15, 2017
the fact that this made sense in your head is amazing to me https://t.co/S2HPHDCkOk— Ladi Dadi (@Loki_013) September 15, 2017
except I don't remember when Obama asked for person to be fired from a sports network for saying something mean about him. https://t.co/jKOBVDVvbq— “Celia” (@_celia_bedelia_) September 15, 2017
And if you are wondering if this was just an accidental one-off from McHenry, here she is earlier this week arguing with the site Black Sports Online about why there is no White Sports Online.
If I created a "White Sports Online," I'd never work again. But go ahead. Work the hustle. https://t.co/dk3fgV5D0H— Britt McHenry (@BrittMcHenry) September 13, 2017
Tomi Lahren, who was just hired at Fox News, better watch out.
