Influential anime/manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is getting a live action adaptation, and the first teaser already looks wild.
The movie is titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Chapter 1, after the fourth volume of the manga series. It follows the supernatural adventures of the Joestar family, and the title hints at future installments to come.
Kento Yamazaki stars as Josuke in a dark and dramatic trailer from director Takashi Miike (Audition, Ace Attorney).
The adaptation will be released in Japan on Aug. 4. Unfortunately for overseas JoJo fans, it doesn’t have a U.S. release date—at least not yet.
