Donald Trump is still using his personal Android phone to tweet, despite considerable security concerns.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that President Trump is ignoring the advice of some of his aides, and continues to use his infamous and “unsecured” Samsung Galaxy smartphone:

The new report comes a week after the Times and Associated Press stated the contrary: That Trump had turned in his Android device for a more “secure” smartphone.

It seems the president is taking on multiple personas. His Galaxy device is being used for his personal Twitter account, where he sends out emotionally charged tweets meant to illicit immediate reactions, whereas the posts from @POTUS are more delicately crafted, and probably more in line with what you’d come to expect from an American politician.

The news that Trump still uses his Galaxy devices is part of a larger report on Trump’s fascination with the White House. In that piece, Trump is quoted as saying, “These are the most beautiful phones I’ve ever used in my life. The world’s most secure system. The words just explode in the air.”

Perhaps it’s time to tell President Trump that Samsung’s phones do a different type of exploding.
