Lil Tay, the preteen social media star who went viral with her coarse language and tough-talking persona, has returned. To Instagram, at least.

All the content on Lil Tay’s Instagram account was deleted last June as some on the internet demanded that protective services investigate exactly what was going on in her life. But as YouTube gossip host Keemstar pointed out on Tuesday morning, the account had been reactivated.

Included among the Instagram content was the physical confrontation between Lil Tay, WoahhVicky, and Bhad Bhabie last year that made Lil Tay into a social phenomenon, especially after she said Bhad Bhabie was a “broke-ass bitch” and said that “you can’t fight for shit.” That Instagram video has nearly 14 million views.

Other content on Lil Tay’s reinvigorated page—which has about 2.4 million followers—include her pretending to drive expensive cars, posing with a big stack of cash, and other “flexes” on passers-by. The account, which says it’s “managed by mom,” hasn’t been updated since last May, but the fact it’s been reinvigorated is interesting.

And potentially sad.

Accusations have been levied at her mother and older brother for exploiting Lil Tay, whose real name is Claire Hope and who apparently was 9 years old at the time (but who is reportedly actually 11 years old now), for fame and for her potential to make money.

It was revealed that Lil Tay’s mother lost her real estate job last year after letting her daughter use other people’s cars and homes for her videos without permission.

Last September, a man named Alex “Loyalty G” Goller Gelbard claimed Lil Tay was going to make a comeback after he revamped her image. Her Instagram account reappeared last October to lob accusations at her father that he was abusive and forced her to return home to Canada. Lil Tay’s team later told the Verge that the account had been hacked. Soon after, all the photos on the Instagram account were deleted after Lil Tay’s father sent a cease-and-desist letter.

Her YouTube channel, which has about 218,000 subscribers, still exists, but there are no videos currently posted.

According to the Cut, Lil Tay has been homeschooled in recent months because she’s too famous to be seen in public. Her estranged parents, though, reportedly had a custody court date set for this month to determine if she can continue with her career.

But if Lil Tay really is staging a comeback and is about to be rebranded, it’s interesting that some of her foul-mouthed content is still active. After all, controversy still makes the viral world turn.
