There’s few more powerful lifestyle brands than GoPro. The durable handheld camera manufacturer has been declared the best brand on YouTube, and no wonder: With video subject matter ranging from diving into active volcanoes to flying fighter jets, GoPro has successfully created an aspirational (and often awe-inspiring) product. But despite the insane footage frequently captured, the reality of owning a GoPro can be rather more mundane.

YouTuber Mike Fry has created a video which clearly spells out this disparity between the expectations that the myriad viral GoPro videos create—and the reality of actually owning one of the cameras.
