Wait is this a parody of white appropriation?

Le Tigre debuted a pantsuit-themed election song last month, and with less than a week until Election Day, it seemed we were set on that front.

We were wrong.

On Wednesday, Lena Dunham released “Sensual Pantsuit Anthem,” a rap song featuring Charlamagne tha God and The Color Purple’s Cynthia Erivo. As Dunham explains, the only way to express her rage during this election cycle is through rap. A friend tries to reason with her: “Lena, no.”

The Funny or Die video rolls out a list of Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments, as Dunham’s MC Pantsuit sheds her pantsuit to reveal a smaller pantsuit, and Charlamagne tells her the rap is trash. The consensus on Twitter seemed to be: Won’t somebody stop her?

Is this a parody of feminism and white appropriation, or a genuine, realized effort? We’re not entirely sure. In other news, another Dunham video made men angry.
