What would it take for Donald Trump to actually earn a Purple Heart?

Earlier this week, an American veteran presented the GOP presidential with a Purple Heart, a military decoration awarded to those who are wounded or killed while serving. Trump, whose only sacrifice has been at the altar of the Orange Gods,  joked “I’ve always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier.”

Unsurprisingly, that angered a lot of actual service members and Purple Heart recipients, one of whom started a GoFundMe to send Donald Trump to Iraq so he could put his money where his teeny little mouth is.

Creator Cameron Kerr, writes on GoFundMe that “as a Purple Heart recipient (proof) who earned one the old fashioned way by returning from Afghanistan one leg lighter, I fully endorse his desire to earn one and would happily oblige his interest in doing so, by being one of the first to chip in to fly him to the conflict zone of his choosing. After all, you’re never too old to follow your dreams.”

Of course, Kerr realizes that $50k is a drop in the bucket for the billionaire (?), and will probably not convince him to fight in Iraq. Sad! Instead, he will split the donations between three charities aiding Syrian refugees, a cause Trump would probably not support. Over $38k has already been raised, which is pretty yuge.
