Titanfall 1 had two omissions: It wasn’t on PlayStation 4, and it had no single-player campaign. Today at gaming industry conference E3, Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella confirmed that both issues have been addressed for Titanfall 2.

Zampella also confirmed a release date of Oct. 28. Now gamers can take a look at (previously leaked) images of the two super-duper editions of Titanfall 2 that come with a pilot bust, or if you really need immersion, a 1:1 scale pilot helmet.

Titanfall 1 suggested that Titans had some sort of AI, but the trailer for Titanfall 2 confirms that not only is this absolutely the case, but that Titans actually care about their pilots. The single-player campaign for Titanfall 2 will be all about that bond between pilots and their Titans.

Titanfall is a franchise clearly built on multiplayer, however, and we know less about what that’ll look like in the latest game. Zampella confirmed that Tifanfall 2 will have six mech classes, but what the crowd at EA Play appreciated most was the ability to grappling hook another pilot in mid-air and take them out with a melee attack.

In other words, Titanfall 2 at the very least looks as impressive as Titanfall 1. We’ll be getting some hands-on time with Titanfall 2 this week at E3, so stay tuned.
