Big Marvel No context

A clever meme can be a great distraction in the middle of the work week, and we all owe a debt of gratitude to the people who create them. But it’s when two memes collide that real magic happens.

That’s exactly what occurred when YouTube sensation Big Marvel combined the “Precious When You Smile” meme with “Send this to your crush with no context.

The “Send this to your crush with no Context” meme has actually been around for a while now. The idea is to send something that’s a mix of surreal and romantic to the object of your affection, without any explanation. Although the title kind of gives away what you’re up to.

Here’s an example from July of 2014:

You So Precious When You Smile” is more of a recent development. The meme usually combines the opening line of R&B artist Bazzi’s song “Mine” with the Snapchat “Be Mine” lens.

Although it’s clearly brilliant, Big Marvel is not actually the first person to combine the memes. Here’s a version from back in February.

And another one from earlier in March.

But it’s not surprising that Big Marvel created that ultimate version of this video meme. He’s known for his bizarre and hilarious videos, which he delivers perfectly with a deadpan expression. He first rose to prominence with his rubber chicken rendition of “Heart Shaker” by Korean girl group TWICE.

But his other videos are equally entertaining. Like “10$ Drum Vs 1000$ Drum.”

And here he is eating an entire chicken for no discernible reason.

The newly improved version of the meme is now spreading like wildfire on YouTube with Polygon reporting that “more versions of the meme are being uploaded almost every five minutes.”

So it’s probably only a matter of time before someone throws SpongeBob in there and we can all go home… oh wait.
