There's no more thorough look at a human's innards than this.

Here at the Daily Dot, we swap GIF images with each other every morning. Now we’re looping you in. In the Morning GIF, we feature a popular—or just plain cool—GIF we found on Reddit, Canvas, or elsewhere on the Internet.

So what are we made of? Awesome? Only if we are Neil Patrick Harris. The rest of us mere mortals are, as Terry Bisson put it in his Nebula Award-winning story, made of meat.

This GIF from Sam’s True Calling illustrates that somewhat nauseating thought. It’s created from an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan giving a slice-by-slice cross-section of the human body, from the top of the head literally to the tips of the toes.

If you look closely, you can even tell this subject is a male (technically NSFW, I guess).

It has collected 28,436 notes, as nervous Tumblr users squint closely and ask, “Is this me?”
