Jordan Peterson and his daughter Mikhaila Peterson are having an extremely normal time online while discussing their all-meat diets.

It started when Mikhaila Peterson, daughter of the renowned alt-right psychologist, posted scans of her cholesterol blood work on Twitter on Tuesday.

Like her father, Peterson subsists on an entirely all-beef diet. After being plagued with multiple debilitating medical issues such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, she reached her personal solution of eating nothing except salt, beef, and water. To prove the good state of her health, she posted her blood work along with the statement that she had been practicing carnivory for a full year.

Jordan Peterson replied to his daughter with a link to an article from The Atlantic. The article featured criticism and research that countered the pair’s all-beef diet.

In the article, Jack Gilbert, the faculty director at the University of Chicago’s Microbiome Center and a professor of surgery, described Mikhaila Peterson’s all-beef diet as “a terribly, terribly bad idea.” Gilbert added, “If she does not die of colon cancer or some other severe cardiometabolic disease, the life—I can’t imagine.”

Snidely refuting the article, Mikhaila Peterson replied to her father with a picture of herself in a swimsuit and sarcastically pointed to “scurvy and vitamin deficiencies.”
