After years of hopping through different time periods, the Call of Duty franchise returns to the battlefields of World War II. A new trailer released today takes players from the beaches of Normandy to gritty hedgerow fights.

Call of Duty: WWII is scheduled for release Nov. 3 after two years of development at Sledgehammer Games. Players can expect tough, fast-paced ground fights as “ordinary men turned soldiers in the 1st Infantry Division,” according to a description of the game.

In addition to debuting the trailer, publisher Activision confirmed a closed beta will be available to players who pre-order the game, though a date for the beta has yet to be announced. A full reveal of the co-op portion of the game is expected at the E3 gaming conference in June.
