Parody of the BBC viral video shows how a working mom would have straight-up handled it

If a working mom was in that viral BBC interview, it would have gone a lot differently.

An almost absurd amount of time has been spent on Monday’s viral BBC interview.

With good reason.

The way the video and the coverage unfolded spoke to both our internal, inherent biases regarding gender and race, as well as our attitudes toward parenting and work. It’s also been a perfect microcosm of how an internet story operates, from the initial virality, to the unpacking, to the subjects becoming brand new memes on their own.

But perhaps the best parody of it, outside of the pitch perfect Daily Show tweet, is this video showing how a working mom would have handled it.

If that doesn’t make you realize the disparity of responsibilities working moms have compared to their male brethren, nothing will.
