Whoever profits off of the sales of George Orwell’s 1984 should thank Kellyanne Conway.

After the Counselor to the President claimed on Chuck Todd’s Meet the Press that the administration had “alternative facts” with regards to the size of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, it probably made a lot of America think, “wait, why does that vaguely remind me of high school English class?”

I say that because sales for 1984 have spiked since the inauguration and Conway’s comment, and Orwell’s classic novel is still number one on Amazon’s best-seller list.

The mass market paperback version costs $8.19 on Amazon, which is a small price to pay when considering that it will help you learn how to combat doublethink when you see it.
