Jake Paul is still using drama with ex-girlfriend Erika Costell for YouTube content

Nearly three months after they broke up, it appears that YouTube stars Jake Paul and Erika Costell are still sniping at each other online.

In a recent video titled “Saying YES To EVERYTHING Tydus Tells Me To Do FOR 24HRS!!” Paul features the child known as Mini Jake Paul. In the vlog, Paul acts on all of Tydus’ orders, including jumping in the pool while wearing clothes, spraying Paul’s hair purple, and proposing to a stranger outside of a Target. At one point, Paul comments, “‘Jake do this, Jake do that.’ You’re just like my ex-girlfriend.”

Throughout the video, Paul repeatedly comments on how he’s single (and sad and lonely). But when Tydus commands him to call Costell on the phone and express his love for her, Paul expresses apprehension.

“She’s blocked my number,” Paul said.

Eventually, Paul grants Tydus’ wish, saying “We’ll see if she answers.” But the phone just rings and rings, and she never picks up the call. And then Paul broke out into a faux-sad song.

It’s yet another example of Paul using his breakup with Costell for content. In late November, he vlogged about his relationship with her, calling it “super, super toxic.” In that video, he said, “We got to a point in our relationship where we would just tear each other down. We went into this downward spiral that we couldn’t control.”

He also said he realized people were criticizing him for exploiting his breakup for content and YouTube views, but he countered that by theorizing that if their entire relationship was used for online content, the end of it should be fair game as well.

In her latest song, “Dynamite,” Costell explained that it was about Paul, and that led fans to wonder if the two were getting back together. That speculation only increased when Paul ripped YouTuber Keemstar for “body-shaming” Costell on Twitter.

But in a recent Instagram story, Paul posted a photo of a man kissing a snake, leading some to wonder if he was referring to Costell, and some of his vague tweets from last week could be in reference to her.

Costell hasn’t directly responded via social media, though this tweet from Sunday was awfully vague.

In one of his tweets from last week, Paul used the hashtag #ihatedrama. But boy, it certainly doesn’t seem like it.
