Damien Chazelle, director of the Oscar-winning, musician-inspiring movie La La Land, is helming a series for Netflix.

The Eddy, an eight-episode musical series, was announced on Friday. It will focus on a Parisian club owner and his house band, and feature dialogue in English, French, and Arabic. Chazelle, who will direct two episodes and serve as executive producer, said in a statement that he’s “always dreamed of shooting in Paris.”

There’s no word on casting or a release date yet. This marks Chazelle’s first attempt at TV, after directing La La Land and Whiplash. Original music will be written by Glen Ballard, who produced Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill.
