In February 2016, four months before she was murdered after her concert in Orlando, singer and YouTube star Christina Grimmie released Side A, her second EP of original music and her third album overall. Before her death, she filmed new music videos for each of the four tracks on Side A, but given the tragic events that conspired, they were not released—until now.

Grimmie’s family now has released the first of the four new videos as a posthumous upload on the singer’s YouTube channel.

The video in question accompanies the track “Snow White,” which leads off Side A. We see Grimmie as Jessica Blue, a young woman who navigates her personal life and aspires to make it in the music world. The other three music videos for Side A will complete “The Ballad of Jessica Blue,” with Grimmie reprising her role across all the installments. We will also continue to hear her powerful voice, which was the hallmark she was best known for.

As was the case with a memorial video released on Grimmie’s channel a week after her death, the “Snow White” video has offered the singer’s fans another chance to mourn her, grieve with her family, and remember the music that served as her gift to the world. As of this post, it has received more than 1.1 million views in just four days.

The second quarter of “The Ballad of Jessica Blue” will arrive on August 18th. Side A is available, along with the rest of Grimmie’s music, from digital outlets like iTunes.
