With more than 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.

1) numberphile, “Calculating Pi with Real Pies”

In honor of Pi Day, Matt Parker tries to test how accurately we can calculate pi not with rulers, but rather by lining hundreds of actual miniature pies around a chalk circle and in the middle to get the circumference and diameter. The answer is eerily close to what we know as pi.

2) leebdough, “Hitler finds out Google Reader is shutting down”

Google Reader may not be down yet, but it will eventually be shut down by Google. Unfortunately, Hitler (one of the Internet’s favorite reactor-to-things) just found out, and to the surprise of absolutely no one, he’s not very happy about it.

3) Mental Floss, “50 Common Misconceptions”

Mental Floss’s new YouTube channel with the Vlogbrothers recently launched, and John Green kicks it off with debunking a series of things we generally believe are true from Marie Antoinette, to the Declaration of Independence, and even the myth that gum takes seven years to digest.

4) Mike Tompkins, “Suit & Tie – Mike Tompkins – Watsky – 20/20 experience”

Mike Tompkins and George Watsky are the latest to cover the newest single from Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, and their capella version might be—dare we say it—better than the original.

5) AsapSCIENCE, “The Science of Hair Loss/Balding”

The common question of whether male pattern baldness is really passed down from your mother’s father is addressed, and while that gene can be passed down through the sex-linked X chromosome, there are other contributors on other chromosomes involved.
