“Thank You Mom” may be the sweetest Mother’s Day video ever

Make sure you show your mom this video on Sunday. And thank her.

Moms, for better or for worse, will always have your back. They teach you right from wrong, they teach you how to laugh, and most importantly, they teach you how to love.

A new video uploaded Thursday to YouTube will serve as a reminder of two things. One, that Mother’s Day is on Sunday and two, moms rule. The two-minute clip features a variety of people of all ages giving thanks to their moms. It’s kind of touching without being cheesy.

The clip is from Thanksfa, a site created by New Yorkers Barry Pousman and Michael Marantz that lets you give thanks to anything. They encourage you to “share this video with a mom you know.”

While the video is simple and charming, its accompanying Twitter campaign is a bit confusing. Thanksfa wants you to promote the video with the hashtag #ThankYouMom but it looks Procter and Gamble got to it first. The drug company nabbed the hashtag for its ad campaign for the upcoming Summer Olympics in London.

Regardless, the video is still touching and I am going to go cry and watch it until Sunday.
