Raccoons might get a bad rap as trash pandas with rabies that will snarl at any human that gets close enough to their pile of garbage, but every once in a while, they find a way to warm our hearts.

While working security one evening at Camdenton High School in Missouri, police officer Chris Williams spotted a troupe of these furry critters attempting to scale a wall. While the mother and another cub were able to clamber to the top, the smallest of the three faced some trouble. So the family got into formation, with one of the youngins at the top holding onto the mommy raccoon’s legs as she reached out for the last of her kin.
