Did Chris Pratt turn down Jurassic Park 4 in this 2009 video?

Okay, no. He did not. But this behind-the-scenes clip from the second season of Parks and Rec is weirdly prescient all the same.

Speaking in a selfie video in his trailer, Pratt jokes that Steven Spielberg is hounding him for a role in the Jurassic Park sequel. Back then, he was still just a sitcom actor; he had yet to sign on for The Lego Movie or Guardians of the Galaxy, the films that turned him into everyone’s new favorite action hero.

To be honest, this just proves that Chris Pratt is a perfect casting choice. We already wrote last month that Pratt’s roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World are weirdly similar to the kind of characters Andy Dwyer would pretend to be for Halloween. At this point, we’re just waiting for an old video to surface where he’s actually playing with dinosaur toys.
