We’ve seen plenty of Pokémon tributes in the wake of Pokémon Go’s popularity this summer, but this might just be among the more bizarre.

Last month at New Wave, an international competition for young musicians, Russian pop singer Nikolay Baskov came out in a Pikachu costume and performed a song about love complete with bouncing Pokéballs and some twerking from Baskov himself. His backup dancers are covered in plush toys, wearing their own Pikachu costumes, and for some reason, animation of Pikachu and Misty from the Pokémon series plays on a large screen. It’s hard to look away.
