Visitors to London will soon have an extra reason to visit Madame Tussaud’s. The world-renowned home of exquisite wax figures will be unveiling a new Star Wars exhibit in May, featuring eerily realistic sculptures of our favorite intergalactic heroes.
To drum up excitement for the event, the museum has released a video on its YouTube channel showing the creation of the lifelike full-size figures. If you thought Han Solo was impressive frozen in carbonite, wait until you see him being carved out of a lump of wax.
The huge exhibit, created in partnership with Disney and Lucasfilm, recreates 16 characters from the film franchise, including Han, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia Organa. You can also catch a glimpse of what appears to be a massive wax figure of Jabba the Hutt and “slave Leia.”
The Star Wars wax figure exhibit will open on May 16.
