Sometimes, honesty isn’t the best policy. One day after telling the House Intelligence Committee she told “white lies” on the President Donald Trump‘s behalf, White House communications director Hope Hicks announced her resignation.

According to the New York Times‘ Maggie Haberman, the resignation had nothing to do with yesterday’s testimony. But tell that to the internet.
