This kid is determined to practice hockey, even if it’s only on a tiny patch of ice

If you want to be the best, you’ve got to practice. That’s what the young man in this video believes. He’s going to get his hockey practice in even if it means skating around on a tiny patch of ice.

This is dedication.

The video was shot by Sherena Doerksen of Abbotsford, British Columbia, and it features her son Markus displaying the kind of dedication that would make any Canadian mom proud.

“Every year for Christmas he asks for goalie pads, and sticks and can’t wait for his brother to outgrow his gear so he can get the hand me downs,” Doerksen told the Huffington Post.

She also said that Markus hopes to play for the Vancouver Canucks one day. With determination like that, we think he’s a shoo-in.
