Ric Flair had one of the greatest pro wrestling ring entrances of all time.

The opening notes of the theme song from 2001: A Space Odyssey would fill the arena, and suddenly, amid all the fog that had been sprayed across the locker room tunnel, Flair would appear, strutting toward the ring with his sparkly robe and perhaps a feather boa across his neck.

He was always stylin’ and profilin’, and come to think of it, that would be a hell of a good entrance for a groom to make just as his wedding is about to begin.

Fortunately, somebody else thought so, too. This dude …

With the requisite “woo” scream, a fake championship belt around his waist, and a robe with the Nature Boy’s insignia on the back, a man named James Wooten gave his wedding ceremony the kickstart he thought it deserved. As he wrote on his YouTube description, “I’m a big wrestling fan and, to be honest, I just couldn’t resist! Only six people in attendance knew I was doing this. My wife was clueless until Brandon (cameraman/groomsman) showed her the video. She approved.”

Only three problems with this video.

1) Where’s the bride? It’s supposed to be her day, and unless she walked to the alter dressed like the Fabulous Moolah, it’d be difficult not to be overshadowed by her husband to be.

2) This has been done before.

3) Not everybody found this quite so amusing. See?

Oh well, not everybody can appreciate the awesomeness of Flair. But if you want to see how it’s really done…
