Facebook torn asunder as Asif dumps best friend Mudasir for newcomer Salman

Ending a feud that’s been simmering behind the scenes for the past several days, reportedly because of a disagreement over a photo, Asif Raza Rana declared in a Facebook post that he’s severing his best friend status with Mudasir Ismail Ahmad. And in a stunning postscript, Rana declared that his new best friend is Salman Ahmad Naqash

As Asif wrote in his post, “I DECLARE THAT I LEFT MY PAST BEST_FRIEND #MUDASIR_ISMAIL_AHMAD ….Because he became very selfish, Proudy, and those who shows me Attitude, I keep them under my Foot…… Huuhhh……. Now SAlman AHmad Naqash is my best friend……Its for information to all.”

The relationship between Asif and Mudasir seemed strong as late as last month when the two took a selfie together, with Asif calling Mudasir his best friend. But on Sept. 10, Mudasir apparently offended Asif.

For the past several days, power brokers in the background have jockeyed for position to replace Mudasir as Asif’s BFF. In fact, there had been rumors that as soon as he dumped Mudasir from his phone contacts, Asif would hold interviews and auditions to find Mudasir’s replacement.

Instead, Asif tapped the little-known Salman, who emerged on the scene primarily due to his modeling career. An example follows below:

Facebook

Salman hasn’t posted on Facebook since a birthday party for his sister and niece on Sept. 7, and when reporters spotted him Thursday morning, three bodyguards blocked the way of picture-snapping photographers and allowed Salman to escape into a waiting limo that whisked him into the sunny day. (OK, we can’t confirm any of that—but please imagine it.)

Long-time observers originally believed Yasir Mahmood was a candidate to replace Mudasir’s BFF status, considering he and Asif spent time together earlier this month at a music shop checking out various keyboards. But perhaps forecasting that he already knew he was next in line to replace Mudasir, Salman was the first to respond to that Facebook post, writing simply, “Nyc picx.”

Two minutes later, Asif replied, “Thnx SAlman AHmad Naqash ….but I so so missss you salman.”

Another candidate to become Asif’s main male squeeze was this bird, known as Real Eagle, but he was considered a longshot. It’s well-established that Asif enjoys listening to his friends talk about their problems rather than dominating the conversation on his own. Since Real Eagle doesn’t talk, it wasn’t surprising that he was eliminated from BFF consideration.

Instead, Asif made it clear his loyalties lay with Salman.

A day after Asif’s surprising announcement, he and Salman were photographed with other friends at the Chenab River. Mudasir was nowhere to be seen (an apparent Facebook friend jokingly commented that Mudasir was looking cool, but the unamused Asif was swift to note, “There is no mudasir in this picture.”)Though Asif hasn’t made himself available to speak with reporters, his latest Facebook status update seems to sum up his feelings: “Friendship is not a toy to play, if we consider it toy to play, then we play with hearts in the name of friendship… friendship is the name of faith, the life is with the friends, I think that the life is nothing without friends……”

A life apparently that now does not include a former best friend named Mudasir.
