It’s well known our current president has trouble with the meaning of words, and it appears it’s a trait the patriarch has passed along.

Earlier today, in an interview with CBS, Ivanka Trump said she didn’t know what “complicit means” while discussing people who criticized her role in her father’s administration.

Speaking with Forbes, another Trump child had an interesting stance on nepotism.

As you may know, one of the more vocal accusations against President Trump is that he violated federal statutes on nepotism by including Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, in his administration.

But Eric Trump insists, “Nepotism is kind of a factor of life.”

That is very true, and it is also the reason why many organization such as law firms, financial institutions, and the U.S. federal government have anti-nepotism laws in place.

But Eric insisted that wasn’t in play, and that they were only there because they perform.

“He’s a guy [Donald], no matter where it is, he expects people to perform. And if they’re not performing, he kind of encourages them to go on their way.”

Eric continued, noting that there was also no way that just because he got his current position by virtue of being his father’s son, he would remain in said position if he didn’t succeed in the business.

“We might be here because of nepotism, but we’re not still here because of nepotism. You know, if we didn’t do a good job, if we weren’t competent, believe me, we wouldn’t be in this spot.”

There you indubitably have it.
