To the untrained eye, modern dance might not look like anything fluid when compared to ballet or jazz. But there’s a method to the movement, and it comes from an unlikely source: babies.
These three dancers took a master class from one of the great infant choreographers. He might not have any idea what he’s doing. Yet the performers are watching and reenacting his every move.
When the baby does it, it’s just the simple movements of a small, clumsy human. When the dancers perform it, it actually looks like the beginning of a dance.
