Twitter’s verdict is in.
Yesterday, Amanda Knox was convicted on retrial for the murder of Meredith Kercher, a 21-year-old British student with whom she shared a villa in Italy while studying abroad. Knox was sentenced to 28 years and six months in prison for her alleged role in the murder, and her ex-boyfriend, Rafale Sollecito, was sentenced to 25 years.
But Twitter didn’t care about that. When news of Knox’s retrial conviction broke, all that mattered was how hot Knox is:
I don’t feel weird thinking amanda knox is hot cause most of the girls I’m into are crazy anyway

Amanda Knox banged up for 28 years? She’s too hot to go to prison. A travesty.

I don’t care if she slit her friends throat, Amanda Knox is hot.

To show my support for Amanda Knox I will not not go to Italy until they stop this persecution. She may be nuts but shes still pretty hot…

This is far from the first time the media has lauded the woman dubbed “Foxy Knoxy” for her physical appearance. In 2012, the 26-year-old Knox was listed in Maxim’s annual Hot 100 countdown, alongside Katy Perry, Megan Fox, and model Bar Refaeli. There’s also this exceedingly tasteful Ranker list of Knox’s sexiest photos, including “Amanda Knox in leggy blue dress” and “Amanda Knox Naturally Hot, in Nature.”
If you’d like to join Knox’s hordes of admirers, the hashtag #FoxyKnoxy will probably start trending again in five, four…
