A JetBlue passenger has gone viral after accusing a flight attendant of discrimination. In a trending TikTok clip, she accuses a flight attendant of not serving her alcohol because she is white.

In a video with over 443,000 views, a woman can be seen in a fierce conversation with a group of flight attendants. It is unclear what happened prior to this video, but the flight attendants tell her that she is “disturbing the cabin” and that they would not be serving her any alcohol. They then ask her to take her seat.

“You never served me any alcohol, but you served the Black people,” the woman says. Later in the video, she adds, “You’re discriminating against me because I’m white.”

After the woman takes her seat, she continues to talk, initially addressing the flight attendants before simply voicing her complaints to the rest of the cabin.

“I’m white, and you don’t like white people,” the woman says, pointing at the flight attendants. “Black life matters? White life matters. It’s all peace and love,” she continues, flashing a two-finger peace sign.

“It’s f*cked up,” she states. “F*cked up sh*t.”

Near the video’s end, the woman calls a flight attendant and asks for water, leading to laughter from the person filming the video.

According to a follow-up posted by @djlexxus, who posted the original video, the woman was later escorted off of the plane.

“Now everybody clap,” says the person filming the video. As the security officer walks the woman out, the same man says, “Look at that—you get escorted by a Black person.” This comment leads to laughter and applause from the cabin.

In the comments section of both videos, users speculated as to how the woman ended up in this state in the first place.

“Airport bars need a drink minimum..those people get drunk before boarding the plane,” said a user.

“She was lit when she got on the plane,” stated another.

Others speculated as to the potential consequences of this woman’s actions.

“Omg No Fly List Forever,” wrote a commenter.

“And this is how you get in the no fly list real quick,” echoed a second.

This isn’t the first in-flight incident to go viral this year. In July of this year, a woman went viral after claiming that she saw someone on the flight who was “not real.” That same month, an entire United Airlines flight was forced to land after a passenger became confrontational after being denied wine.

Update Oct. 29, 2023, 6:56pm CT: Critics of this story have observed that printing the woman’s remarks without further context about their problematic nature does the reader a disservice. To that end, the woman was effectively accusing the airline JetBlue of reverse racism. Many sociologists will note that it’s difficult for white people in the U.S. to experience racism, and there is no such thing as reverse racism, because while they can experience prejudice, racism requires power and prejudice.
