Ted Cruz—a Steve Buscemi “How do you do, fellow kids?” GIF come to life—managed to screw up another attempt to relate to today’s youth, as he is wont to do.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference Party (CPAC), Cruz attempted to delineate the difference between Republicans by using the Simpsons.

Well… that may not mean exactly what he thinks it means, but he’s not wrong. Because as the Simpsons have repeatedly shown, Lisa is the face of reasoned intelligence when confronted with Homer and Bart’s sheer stupidity.

Lisa is smart, rational, and calm, while Homer and Bart are irrational, reckless, and impulsive.

And while there are hundreds of examples of Homer and Bart endorsing some of the conservatives’ most abhorrent stances, let’s point out that Republicans—especially Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency—is anti-environment. Bart and Homer are notoriously pro-pollution.

She’s anti-Randian.

What’s up with that?

Cruz’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment.
