“Please don’t tell me I’m the only one that found out chicken nuggets come frozen,” one user said.

Another user was likewise blown away by the fact that they had “been eating bagged nuggets this whole time.”

Such videos are part of a growing trend among TikTok users fascinated by how fast food is made. A worker at Chick-fil-A recently went viral for also revealing how the company’s nuggets were made.

Racking up more than 13 million views before being deleted, the video showed that Chick-fil-A actually starts with raw chicken and makes its nuggets from scratch. At the time, several viewers of the video called for McDonald’s to share its process for making nuggets.

Another TikTok user went viral in October after showing how Kentucky Friend Chicken (KFC) made its gravy.

But such videos aren’t always fun and games. A Chick-fil-A employee alleged in August that she was fired by the company after revealing menu hacks that allowed customers to save money.

Collectively, the fast-food genre on TikTok has racked up tens of millions of views.
