Like fine wine, Labyrinth continues to age beautifully with time. This year seems to have brought on a renaissance of the classic Jim Henson film, with everything from board games to 30th anniversary editions of the film. And while Labyrinth figures have ben few and far between, now we have an excellent Jareth figure to add to our shelves.
Made by industry veterans McFarlane toys and officially licensed by the Jim Henson company, this 7 inch Jareth figure has all the stature and glory of the man himself (but his notorious crotch bulge does seem somewhat minimized). He’s wearing his outfit from the film’s mysterious ballroom sequence and holds his mask in one hand, while his crystal ball is in the other. Jareth does come with a lovely stand, but if you prefer to pose him yourself he is fully articulated so you can do so.
No word on whether we will see any of the other characters from the film in this line, but the Jareth figure is a pretty great place to start. He’s $27 over at Amazon, which is a small price to pay to soothe the David Bowie-shaped hole in your heart.
