The internet is speculating that Jeffree Star’s boyfriend is a basketball player: after tracing the mystery man’s tattoos to other online photos.
After breaking up with his longtime boyfriend Nathan Schwandt, Star documented one of his first dates as a single person. Star and Jozea Flores, both Big Brother alumni, filmed themselves on a date in June.

Not much was said or heard about Flores after the video. But on Monday, Star released an image of himself straddling a mystery man, presumed to be Marhold.
Star shared a photo of the two of them hanging out in the pool with the caption, “Hi. How are ya?” Following the post, Jeffree Star was trending on Twitter.
The internet got to work guessing the identity of the mystery man
Twitter account @MercedesJae_ was one of the first to post the speculation. Using photos of tattoos as a reference, the user insinuated that Star’s new boo is Andre Marhold, who formerly played with the Austrian Basketball League and for Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Because of Star’s past, which includes racist comments toward Black women among other controversies, social media users were shocked to see him with a Black man.
“Not Jeffree Star the infamous racist now conveniently having a black boyfriend now that he’s being canceled for his racism,” one Twitter user wrote. “Are your palettes not selling bb?”
Jeffree Star responds to fan reactions
The replies to Star’s post on Twitter garnered mixed reactions, but many of them were negative and denounced the couple’s relationship because of Star’s multiple controversies, for which he was dropped from the makeup brand Morphe.
Star responded to the new controversy, tweeting, “I know it’s devastating news for some people, but I don’t give money to anyone I’m dating or anyone who is fucking me. Work on your own insecurities sis, I’m not the problem.”
He also tweeted, “Worry about how to pay your own bills, not who’s in my mouth. Thank you, God bless – Upper management.”
