Ariana Grande on Thursday shared an image of a brain scan showing the effects of PTSD on her body after the terrorist attack at her 2017 concert in Manchester, England.

Grande’s Instagram Story showed the scan along with an image showing a “healthy brain” versus a brain showing signs of PTSD.

“Hilarious and terrifying,” she wrote.

Following Grande’s post, her fans poured in with support and love on Twitter. Some expressed concerns that her busy touring schedule will have worsening effects on her mental health, and others showed admiration for her strength and openness.

As BuzzFeed reports, some commenters accused fans of only paying attention to Grande’s mental illness because she’s a celebrity.

“Y’all care more about a celebrity that you’ll never meet than people right next to you in your own lives,” one commenter said.

But her fans didn’t back down, and some pointed out that Grande’s post helped spread awareness.

Grande followed up with another Instagram Story, writing she didn’t mean to scare anyone with her “brain thingy.”

“It just blew me away,” she wrote. “I found it informative and interesting and wanted to encourage ya’ll to make sure you check on your brains / listen to your bodies / take care of yourselves too.”
