Everyone’s favorite boss from The Offiice now has a new outlet for watercooler chatter.

Steve Carell now has another place to exude his wry humor—Twitter.

The former The Daily Show correspondent and The Office boss joined the microblogging site today. At last check, his follower count hovered around 5,000 but was rapidly increasing.

“I am in,” tweeted Carell on Thursday morning.

His account seemed to fly under the radar until his former costar Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam on The Office, tweeted Carell’s arrival this afternoon. “Look who just joined Twitter folks!  @SteveCarell,” she wrote.

Welcome Steve! Now tell me some jokes, preferably not ones from Dinner for Schmucks.
