Oft-troubled A-lister Lindsay Lohan—both red-headed and blue-eyed—has laid claim to experiencing racial profiling by customs officials at London’s Heathrow Airport. She says she was wearing a headscarf, styled as a hijab.

Lohan said she wore the scarf out of respect to Turkish people and to hide her identity.

“When I was flying to New York recently. I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and was racially profiled for the first time in my life,” she told Good Morning Britain on Tuesday. “What scared me was that moment, how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me. I was kind of in shock.”

Lohan was apparently confused on the differences between racial and (potential) religious discrimination. For her part, Lohan has admitted to being curious about Islam, but has yet to convert.

“I think that me studying the Quran is something I found solace in. You can’t just convert to a religion overnight,” she added.
