Cheerleaders have a tough gig. As they tumble and flip to keep the crowd entertained during breaks in the action, there’s always the possibility of getting dropped to the hard floor in front of thousands of sports fans who are paying half-attention.
That’s unfortunately what happened to the UCLA basketball cheerleader in the video below. But as painful as that looks, what happens next is even worse.
According to CBS Sports, the cheerleader was said to be OK and walked off the court under her own power. Afterward, UCLA went on a 30-11 run to upend Oregon and eventually win the game. Which led to this bit of clever wordplay.
